MAP PRICING PERFORMANCE VEHICLES
What Does MAP Pricing Mean?
Understanding advertised pricing on Shelby, Hennessey, Roush and other performance vehicles.
If you've been shopping for a Shelby, Hennessey, Roush, or other specialty performance vehicle, you may notice that dealers often advertise similar vehicles at the same price.
There's a reason for that. Many performance manufacturers use MAP, or Minimum Advertised Price, policies. That means the manufacturer establishes the lowest price an authorized dealer can publicly advertise.
Why Does MAP Pricing Exist?
Benefits for Customers
MAP pricing helps protect the value and positioning of limited-production performance vehicles. It creates a more consistent shopping experience between authorized dealers and helps prevent specialty vehicles from becoming part of a race-to-the-bottom pricing environment.
Benefits for Dealers
Authorized performance dealers make a significant investment in inventory, training, brand representation, customer support and the overall ownership experience. MAP policies help protect that investment while allowing dealers to properly support these specialized vehicles and the customers who purchase them.
Here's the Important Part
MAP controls what we can advertise.
It doesn't necessarily control the deal we can make.
Just because you see a Shelby, Hennessey or Roush vehicle listed at a certain price doesn't mean you shouldn't contact us and have a conversation.
If there's a Kerlin Performance vehicle you're interested in, let us know. We'll review the vehicle, your trade if applicable, available financing options and the overall deal to see what we can put together for you.
